ROCHESTER, MINN:Glen C. Himrich, 90, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Golden Living Centers-Whitewater, St. Charles, MN. Glen Coolidge Himrich was born December 13, 1924 to Edward and Emily (Sattler) Himrich in Selby, SD. Glen graduated from Selby South Dakota High School. He attended the University of Minnesota and graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Pharmacy. Glen served in the Army in Alaska during the Korean War. He married Donna Rae Burnette on May 30, 1959 in Blooming Prairie, MN. Glen worked as a Pharmacist and owned Himrich Rexall Drug in Rochester. He also worked at Eagle Drug, the pharmacy in Olmsted Medical Clinic, Ruffalo Drug, Rochester Methodist Hospital and Held Drug in New Richland, MN. He retired in 1995. Glen enjoyed golf; accomplishing a hole in one, hunting, fishing, he was an accomplished marksman, travel, the Twins, and reading. Glen is survived by his two sons, David (Kathy) Himrich, Claremore, OK, and Dale (Renae) Himrich, Rochester, MN; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters; Mavis (Darrell) McGillis, Chico, CA, Ed (Fran) Himrich, Custer, SD, Millie Carman, Minburn, IA, Meade Himrich, Rapid City, SD, John Himrich, Watertown, WI. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, and siblings Leo, Idyll, and Wayne. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with Pastor Vern Christopherson and Pastor Shaun Gustafson co-officiating.Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 in Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
