Glen Ralph Briske, 85, passed away on November 2, 2024 at Samaritan Bethany, Rochester, MN.
Glen was born in Wabasha, MN and graduated from Eyota High School in 1956. Following High School, Glen served 3 years in the Army and 4 years in the Air Force. He then farmed for 5 years prior to attending Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, MN. Before long, Glen had his own Refrigeration business in Rochester, MN. In his retirement, Glen worked for a number of years driving a bus for First Student.
Glen was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, wintering in the south with friends, watching the Vikings and meeting friends for breakfast on a daily basis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Briske and Bertha Nelson; sister Shirley Wente; brothers Virgil Briske and Albert Briske; and brother-in-law Don Wente. He is survived by his son Steve (Kristi) Briske; special friend Lea Franta and her children Kelly (Dave) Sale and Dave (Leslie) Franta; brothers Lee (Laurie) Briske and Larry (Sue) Briske; sister-in-law Luanne Briske; granddaughters Katie (Shane) Roesler, Stephanie (Riley) Bohlken, and Kylie (Wyatt) Schoenholz; great grandchildren Rhett, Colt, Banks, Dax, Whit, and Kitt; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church (CLC) of Byron on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with a prior visitation at 9:30 a.m. CLC is located at 201 Frontage Road NW, Byron, MN 55920.
