Gladys Mulholland

Gladys J. Mulholland, age 87, of Rochester, Minnesota died peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Gladys was born November 21, 1931 in Rochester, MN the daughter of Wesley and Theresa (Sibley) Kolbe. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Mora, Minnesota and then returned to the Rochester area when she was 15. Gladys was united in marriage to Maurice Mulholland on September 15, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. They made their home in Rochester where they raised 4 children. Gladys worked as a sales representative for Avon selling door-to-door for 20 years. She also worked as a personal attendant for many physician families in the area. Gladys enjoyed the outdoors with her vegetable and flower gardening. She loved birds and had a passion for cats and will be missed by her cat, Callie. She shared with her family that she always wanted to be in a demolition derby to know what it would be like to run into other cars on purpose. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Bob) Andrews of Evergreen CO, Linda (David) Brown of Greenbrier, TN, Steven (Danice) Mulholland of Rochester, MN and Lori (Ron) Reinalda of Rochester, MN; 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; sister, Margie Jylland of Illinois; former husband, Maurice Mulholland of Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley; mother and step-father, Theresa and Leo LaVan; a sister and 2 brothers. Funeral services for Gladys will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 10, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
