Georgie (Jean) E. Wehrs The funeral service for Georgie (Jean) E. Wehrswill be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church 222 6th Ave. SW., Rochester, MN with the Rev. Nathaniel Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Entombment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Wehrs died peacefully at Seasons Hospice House, on July 4, 2015 at the age of 89. Georgie Elda Wehrs was born February 22, 1926 to Clarence and Amanda (Sprick) Klindworth in Wheaton, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Dumont, MN. She was married to Verne Wehrs at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin, MN on October 17, 1945. Georgie was a farm homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years and active in many church activities. For many years, Georgie and Verne loved traveling in their RV to Arizona and many other states.After traveling they returned to Rochester and settled at Gramercy Park. Georgie had many hobbies, crocheting, cards, bingo, and arts and crafts. Georgie is survived by seven children; Rebecca Hemshrot, Phoenix AZ, Donald Wehrs (Debbie) Thatcher AZ, Ginny Keating (Bill) Plymouth MN, Gail Trutwin (Jim) Osakis MN, Bonnie Ohm (Jerry) Rochester MN, Sue Brown (Larry) Rochester MN, Terrie Campbell (Chad) St. Charles MN; 15 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great, great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Thomas, Des Moines IA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verne Wehrs; parents and 8 brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Seasons Hospice of Rochester, MN.
