George Plank

George A. Plank, 76, of Rochester died on August 27, 2018 at St. Marys Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1942 in Chatfield to Harold and Mildred (Williams) Plank. George graduated from High School in 1961. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He was married and later divorced. On January 25, 2003, he married Rose Koehler in Stewartville. George enjoyed fishing, watching Westerns and going out to eat. Survivors include his wife, Rose Plank of Rochester; one daughter, Brenda of the Twin Cities; three sons, Tim Martin of Rochester, Jerry Martin of Valparaiso, IN and Doug Martin of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Griffin, Paris and Faith; two brothers, Earl Plank of Tacoma, WA and Duane (Norma) Plank of Winona and one sister, Leah Bork of Onalaska, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Donna Ahern. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Grace Evangelical Free Church (701 1st St. East) in Stewartville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
