Gail "Dianne" Claffy

Gail Dianne (Lendobeja) Claffy was born April 20, 1935 to Adam and Mabel Lendobeja in Thief River Falls, MN where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school. She married Jerry Alden Claffy on June 19th, 1955. She attended North Dakota State College in Fargo, ND to attain her teaching degree in Home Economics in 1957. Together they lived in Fargo, ND, Breckenridge, MN, Lacrosse, WI and ultimately settled their family in Rochester, MN in 1964. Here she spent her days raising her two children and working as a substitute teacher for the Rochester Public Schools. Dianne was an active member at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Rochester serving on various committees throughout the years. Together Dianne and Jerry enjoyed traveling the world and were avid antique collectors. Dianne shared her incredible talent with all those around her including sewing, crafting, gardening, cooking and baking. Dianne was most happy surrounded by her family. Dianne entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior Tuesday the 9th of May at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband Jerry of Rochester, daughter Terry (Ron) Meyer of Golden Valley, son Mike (Shirley) Claffy of Rochester, grandchildren Courtney Schultz, Stacey (Joe) Evans, Steve (Brandy) Claffy, great-grandchildren Kole and Jayden Schultz, Christopher and Cameron Evans, Abby and Jensen Claffy and honorary grandchildren Michelle (Rick) Tripp and Marvin (Joanna) Billings. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12th5-7 in the evening at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 13that 10:30 in the morning at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 2124 Viola Rd. NE, Rochester with visitation from 9:30 until time of service. Pastor Ben Loven will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
