Gail Holmberg

Gail Jean Holmberg entered into Heaven on October 21, 2019. Gail was the second oldest child born to Earl and June Holmberg on February 21, 1945. Gail never married, but the love of her life was Wilber. They shared a 35-year friendship until his death. Gail was full of spirit, love, sunshine and laughter and her presence will be missed by all who knew her. She loved to work and had many jobs throughout Rochester with ABC and Bear Creek Services. She lived at Manorwood Group Home and had three roommates, Jill, Angie, and Becky. Our thanks to all of the wonderful caretakers, friends, and co-workers throughout Gail's journey. You all have enriched her life and we owe you for your love, compassion, and care you have all given for many years. With your help, Gail achieved a true quality of life. Gail is survived by five sisters, Dawn Holmberg of Rochester, Lynn (Doug) Carlson of Oronoco, Gwen Heymann of Kasson, Jean (Terry) Rich of Rochester, Lisa Ebling of Rochester; three brothers, Earl (Dawn) Holmberg of Rochester, Carl (Tammy) Holmberg of Rochester, and Daniel (Mary) Holmberg of Rochester; as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. A Celebration of Life will follow from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Services, 3108 Hwy 52 N Rochester, MN.
