Frank William Wise

Funeral services for Frank W. Wise, 97 of Princeton, MN (formerly of Rochester) will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco.Burial will be at Oronoco Cemetery.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Frank William Wise was born on November 5, 1916 in Rippey, IA to William and Dena (Gooseman) Wise.He died on April 28, 2014 at the Elim Care Center in Princeton, MN. Frank graduated from High School in Mantorville and married Phyllis Koenig on June 30, 1941 in Oronoco.They farmed on her parents home farm in the Oronoco area.He enjoyed woodworking and made furniture for family and friends.He collected and repaired clocks and collected antiques.He was an avid reader and embraced technology and gadgets.He travelled extensively after retiring. Survivors include his son, Randy (Martha) Wise of Princeton, MN; three grandchildren, Derek (Kristin) and Adam (Katie) Wise and Lacey (Eric) Wise-Warnament; six great grandchildren, Liv, Lis, Vincent, Rosalie, Dylan and Isaac; one sister, Edna Hineman of Lime Ridge, WI; a sister-in-law, Joan Tiedemann of Pine Island, MN and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Eleanor House and two sister-in-laws, Esther Prokasky and Mae Whipple.
