Francis P. Bowe, 89, of Rochester, died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Maple Manor Nursing Home. Francis Patrick Bowe was born July 18, 1924 in Chatfield, Minnesota to William and Margaret (Dwyer) Bowe.He married Lorraine B. Simon on August 26, 1950 in Prescott, WI.He worked at Marigold Dairy for many years and retired in 1986. Francis was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.He enjoyed fishing, canning, cards, dancing, and was an avid MN Twins fan. Francis is survived by seven sons, Tom (Wenda) of Prescott, WI, Terry (Cheryl) of Rochester, Dennis of Rochester, Daniel (Kimberly) of Hayfield, Donald Pete of Rochester, Jeffrey (Kimberly) of Rochester, and Michael (Penny) of Kasson; daughters-in-law, Fern and Mary of Rochester; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul (Rosie) Bowe of Indiana; four sisters, Pauline (Roger) Majerus of Kenyon, MN, Rosemary Johnson of Minneapolis, MN, Loretta Askerud of Austin, MN, and Betty (Donald) Rud of Racine, MN; and sister-in-law, Edith Bowe of Chatfield, MN.Francis was a good son, father, grandfather, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine; one sister; and four brothers. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Reverend Mark McNea officiating.Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.A visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
