Frances Rosalie Restall, 91, of Rochester, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Charter House. Frances was born December 10, 1924 in Memphis, TN to Ivanhoe and Mary (Crymes) McAllister. She was a graduate ofHigh School and received her Bachelors degree from the University of Alabama. On August 26, 1946, Frances married Dr. Charles Restall in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1956, Charles and Frances moved to Rochester, MN. Frances worked as a speech pathologist for several years before turning her attention to volunteer work and raising her family. Frances was a member of PEO and was past president and member of the Rochester Methodist Auxiliary the pink ladies. Frances spent a lot of time volunteering and enjoying weekly bridge games with various bridge groups. She was a member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Kappa Delta sorority and a Flotilla member. She loved gardening in her rock garden, boating and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frances was a tenacious lady, with a very compassionate, giving, calm and understanding heart. She will be greatly missed by her family. Frances is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret Azubell of Edinburg, TX; 2 grandchildren whom Frances raised, Charles Restall III of Stewartville, MN, Megan Emily Nelson of Flagstaff, AZ; grandchildren, Heather Nichole Taylor of bay City, MI; grandchildren, Emily Rosalie Azubell, Daniela Susana Azubell, Carlos Federico Azubell and Natalia Alejandra Azubell all of Edinburg, TX; great-grandchildren, Mathias Nehemiah Nelson, Breanna Lynn Furr-Nelson, Katelyn Nichole Taylor, Landon Michael Taylor and brothers, Robert (Nancy) McAllister of Cayucos, CA and John (Mary) McAllister of Plymouth, MI. Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles and by her daughter, Lynn Taylor. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
