Flora I. Lehnertz

Flora I. Lehnertz, 102, of Rochester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Edenbrook of Rochester. Flora was born February 16, 1916 in Sioux Falls, SD to Duard and Olive (Nutting) Stafford. Her father brought the family to Rochester in 1928. Flora was a 1934 graduate of Rochester High School. Before her marriage, Flora worked in the offices of the former Rochester Wholesale Grocery Company. On April 23, 1939, Flora married Dale Lehnertz at the Calvary Episcopal Church. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, an active altar guild member for 22 years, and taught Sunday school. Flora enjoyed sewing, reading, spending time with family, word puzzles, gardening and taking scenic car trips. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Bob) Weinrich and Susan Lehnertz, both of Rochester; grandchildren, Don (Deb) Weinrich, Mary (Peter) Hiller, Jason Weinrich, Mike (Rachel) Weinrich; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren. Flora was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; sisters, Harriet Blumer and Lois Janet and by her parents. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service.
