A memorial service for Faith D. Hinton, 89, of Rochester will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Faith Della Wehinger was born on November 19, 1927 in Kellogg to Gustave and Della (Boelk) Wehinger. She died on August 12, 2017 at the Seasons Hospice Cottage. Faith graduated from High School in 1945 and the Kahler School of Nursing in 1948. She moved to San Antonio and joined the United States Army in 1949. She served in Japan from 1949-1951 and in Germany from 1953 to 1955. She married Robert Lee Curlee in 1955 and they lived in Kansas, Texas and Germany before moving to Kellogg in September of 1964. Bob left shortly after to serve in Vietman and went missing in action on June 10, 1965. On January 18, 1985, Faith married Reo Hinton and moved to Florida where she resided until moving back to Rochester in 2007. Faith enjoyed reading, traveling and playing cards. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church and was an avid volunteer in the community. Survivors include her son, James (Kathy) Curlee of Pine Island and her daughter, Katherine (Ken) Minton of Rome, GA; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both spouses and four brothers. Memorials can be directed to Seasons Hospice.
