Evelyn E. Wyatt

The funeral for Evelyn E. Wyatt will be at 10:00 AM on Friday 4/18/2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rochester with the Rev. Joel Haak officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Wyatt, 88, of Rochester, died Tuesday (April 15, 2014) at Golden Living Center West in Rochester. She was born Evelyn Elizabeth Kunze on April 2, 1926, in Sleepy Eye, MN to George and Minnie (Schwieger) Kunze.She graduated from Rochester High School in 1943.She married Ben Wyatt on October 20, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rochester. She worked for the Kahler Hotel in Rochester until 1967. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and very active in the Rochester American Legion Auxiliary.She was District President of the American Legion Auxiliary in 1962 -63.She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Hawaii. Survivors include her husband, two sisters, Hazel (Lloyd) Grams of Slayton and Arla Spears of Rochester; sister in-law Glenna Mae Kellar along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille Schroeder, Lola Johnson - Prigge and Melva Loftus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements. The family prefers memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or donors choice.
