Evalyn M Langworthy

A memorial service for Evalyn M. Langworthy, 91, of Rochester will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial of her cremated remains will be at Oak Park Cemetery in Mondovi, WI. Evalyn Mae Armour was born on August 27, 1927 in Rochester to Myron and Orma (Heineck) Armour. She passed away on November 2, 2018 at Cottagewood in Rochester. Evalyn graduated from Dodge Center High School and attended Mankato Business College. She worked as a secretary for Mayo Clinic and City Hall in Rochester. On September 28, 1947, she married Lyle Langworthy in Dodge Center. She was a member of the Congregational Church and enjoyed music, playing Bridge, crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together. She wintered in Apache Junction, AZ and summered in Spooner, WI (the best of both worlds). Survivors include four children; Shelley (Larry) Vatsaas of Olivia, MN, Nancy Hameister of Rochester, Bruce Langworthy of Byron and Brian (Linda) Langworthy of North Branch; one brother, Allen Armour of Mukwonago, WI and two sister-in-laws, Virginia Armour of Waite Park, MN and Carol Armour of Oregon, Ill.; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Jean, four brothers, Bill, Myron, Rollo and Rodney, one brother-in-law, three sister-in-laws and one grandson.
