A memorial service for Eugene P. Wojtczak, 84, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Rochester.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Eugene Paul Wojtczak was born on January 4, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Stephen and Salomea (Levandoski) Wojtczak.He died on October 11, 2014 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. Eugene graduated from Bowen High School and ITT in Chicago with an Electrical Engineering degree.On April 30, 1955 he married Marilyn Poncinie.Eugene worked for IBM in Chicago and moved to Rochester in January of 1969.He retired on March 30, 1990 after 30 years of service. The couple wintered in Texas where Eugene enjoyed silver smithing, water colors and the beach.He was also a private pilot and a member of the Southeastern Minnesota Flying Club.He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, traveling and playing with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Rochester, MN; three daughters, Madonna (Ron) Norton of Kasson, MN, Linda Wojtczak and Laurie (Glenn) Riekmann of Rochester, MN; three grandchildren Robert Norton, Justin Riekmann and Sarah Barca; two great grandchildren Desuma Norton and Eiowynn Norton; one brother, Richard Wojtczak of Rochester and one sister, Irene Valuckis of Chicago, Ill.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, 4 sisters and one grandson.
