Esther Ostlund

Funeral services for Esther E. Ostlund, 79, of Owatonna (formerly of Rochester) will be at 11:00am on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kasson. Esther Edna Parker was born on December 4, 1937 in Rochester to Walter and Emilie (Geier) Parker. She died on November 23, 2017 at Traditions in Owatonna. Esther attended Rochester Schools. She married Bertil Ostlund on June 19, 1965 in Rochester. Esther worked for Mary Castella Nursing Home and later as a housekeeper for the Kahler Hotel for 34 years. She enjoyed country music, gardening, fishing, boating, and camping. She loved playing cards, especially the game Parcheesi. Survivors include four daughters, Brenda (Jim) Clement of Owatonna; Marcella (Jamme) Stange of Owatonna; Maria (Michael) Klein of Rochester and Roxanne; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Kathy (John) Copeman of Chatfield and two brothers, James (Mary) Parker of Chatfield and Alfred Parker of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, three sisters and two brothers.
