Rochester- Funeral Services for Erlyne Maye Jahn, age 82, who died of natural causes at her residence on Monday, October 24, 2011,will be held at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester on Thursday, October 27th at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Vern Christopherson officiating.Burial will be in Our Savior Lutheran Cemetery in Spring Valley, MN.Visitation will be on Wednesday evening at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 P.M., and then at the church on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 A.M.In lieu of flowers Memorials may be mailed to the Mayo Clinic Dept. of Development, 200 1st St. S.W. Rochester, MN,55905,in memory of Erlyne Jahn to support Out Patient Volunteer Services Erlyne Maye Hanson was born March 26, 1929 to Herman and Alma (Holt) Hanson in Sherwood, N.D. She graduated from Sherwood High School. Following High School she graduated from Minot Business College before moving to Rochester in 1950 where she began work at the Mayo Clinic as a Medical Transcription Secretary, where she met her husband to be, Carl Jahn.They were married June 15, 1952 in Minot N.D. She continued to work at the Mayo Clinic.From October, 1969 until retiring in February, 1992,she worked as the Administrator of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.Her husband Carl also worked at the Mayo Clinic for 37 years. She was a member of Zumbro Lutheran Church.She and her husband were Mayo Clinic Auxiliary Volunteers for 15 years.She enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Arizona and spending time with her family and friends at the River in Lake City. Survivors include her husband Carl, Two sons; Jerry Jahn of Houston, TX., JeffJahn (Lisa) of Plymouth, MN. and a daughter Janelle Albee (Neal) of Wyoming, MN.Six Grandchildren; Nicole, Christopher and Jacob Albee, Allison, Maggie and Erin Jahn One Sister; Bonnie Lillemon of Minot, N.D. and 2 brothers; Bill Hanson (Lola) of Sherwood, N.D.
