Erin Leigh Pendergast

Erin Leigh Pendergast, 32, passed away peacefully Monday, April 14, 2014 at her home. Erin was born April 9, 1982 in Mason City, IA to Darrel and Andrea (Strohbehn) DeWitt. Erin was a graduate of Indianola High School and received her RN, BSN from the Allen College of Nursing. Erin worked as a registered nurse at Mayo Clinic on Francis 4C cardiac care. On February 8, 2011, in Rochester, Erin married Ryan Pendergast. She enjoyed running, singing, and photography. Erin also enjoyed biking and she loved being a nurse. Above all, Erin loved spending time with her sons, Ethan and Jayson, and making memories with her family. Erin is survived by her husband, Ryan; sons, Ethan and Jayson; mother, Andrea DeWitt; sister, Melissa DeWitt; mother-in-law, Paula Pendergast; sister-in-law, Sarah Pendergast and a host of other family and friends. Erin was preceded in death by her father, Darrel; paternal grandparents, Francis and Rama DeWitt and her maternal grandparents, Dean and Mary Strohbehn. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Christ Community Church, 4400 55th St., NW., Rochester with Rev. Paul Brushaber officiating. Visitation will be held 3:00-8:00PM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW. Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church.
