Erdine "Dee" Kruger

Memorial services for Erdine Delores Dee Kruger, 89, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Dee Kruger was born on October 25, 1926 on her grandparents farm in Mower County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alfred and Alma (Hegna) Edgar. Dee passed away on Monday, May 30 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Rochester. Dee graduated from Stewartville High School and left for New York City where she worked for National Airline. After meeting Walter Robert Bob Kruger, she settled back in Rochester and they were married on June 12, 1948 at Evanger Lutheran Church in Sargeant, Minnesota. She worked at Mayo Clinic until her children were born. Dee enjoyed doing crafts, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting and computer games.She and Bob had loved to dance, travel, and spend time at their home on the Mississippi River near Wabasha. Above all, she loved spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Together Bob and Dee owned and operated Krugers Plastic Tops, Inc. in Rochester. Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie (Michael) McGoon of Rochester, MN, Becky (Meredith Smokey Pater) Kruger of Reads Landing, MN and Bobbi-jean Kruger of Kitty Hawk, NC; two sons, Brian (Deedee Wegner) Kruger of Creswell, NC, and Bruce (Rebecca) Kruger of Kasson, MN; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; her brother Sterling Edgar of Denver, Iowa; sister-in-law Vicki Edgar of Spring Valley, MN; four nieces and one nephew.She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, an infant son, and her brother Conrad.
