Funeral services for Emmett W. Woolfolk, Jr., 73, of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with the Rev. Donald Barlow officiating.Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Emmett William Woolfolk, Jr. was born on September 23, 1941 in Birmingham, AL to Emmett and Nellie Woolfolk, Sr.He died on December 17, 2014 at his home. Emmett graduated from High School in Birmingham and received his Bachelor of Arts from Talladega College in Alabama.He married Gloria Bowie on May 29, 1965 in Talledega, AL.Emmett retired from IBM in Rochester as a computer programmer.He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially golf, tennis and basketball.He traveled to golf tournaments and refereed Rochester City League Volleyball.He enjoyed a good game of Pinochle and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his son, Rodney Woolfolk of Minneapolis, MN; two daughters, Daphne Woolfolk of Chicago, Ill and Dawn (Cory) Daniels of Duluth, GA; seven grandchildren and one sister, Odessa Woolfolk of Birmingham, AL.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister.
