Emilie M. Clemensen, 98, of Rochester, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Madonna Towers in Rochester. Emilie Marie Hospers was born on April 9, 1922 to Jacob and Emma (Knittel) Hospers in Sheldon Iowa. On October 23, 1943 she married Arvid J. Clemensen in Fort Benning, GA. Arvid died in July of 2006. Emilie attended Sheldon Junior College where she completed an associate degree in education. She was employed by David Agency in Minneapolis, MN where she did clerical insurance work for 50 years. She enjoyed reading and needlework in her free time and was a member of the Colonial Congregational Church in Edina. Emilie is survived by her daughters, Cathie (Jim) Chester of Fort Myers, FL, Susan (Bob) Boyles of Rochester, MN, and Mary Henry of Centerville, VA; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Francis Tilgner and Joan Emerson, and 1 brother, John Hospers. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
