Elsie C. Harland (Cady), 104, of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Samaritan Bethany Home on Eighth. She was born to William and Edith (Kreinbring) Stellwagen on August 20, 1908, at the farm home in Silo, Minn. She attended public school in Lewiston before moving to Rochester. She married Earl Cady of Spring Valley on September 2, 1928. Her interests included cooking, gardening, quilting, and volunteering. She was the oldest member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she attended services for over 65 years. Three brothers, one sister, and her son, Craig, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Ronald Cady of Redmond, Oregon, her son Curtis Cady of Rochester, her daughter; Karen Sprung of Warroad, Minn; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, and her best friend and loving caretaker, Sharron Smith. A memorial service will take place in the near future at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
