A memorial service for Elmer E. Randall, 101, of Eyota, MN will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday,August 8, 2012 at Faith United Methodist Church, 27 4th St. West in Eyota, MN with the Rev. Mark Woodward officiating.Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.His body was donated to Mayo Clinic. Elmer Eugene Randall was born on August 31, 1910 in Eyota Township to Arthur and Grace (Wickham) Randall.He died on August 4, 2012 at Sunrise Cottages in Rochester. Elmer attended Eyota Schools and later attended Agriculture School in St. Paul, MN.He married Eileen Ireland on July 4, 1941 in Zumbrota, MN.Elmer worked with the Civilian Conservation Corp on Gooseberry Falls State Park in Northeast Minnesota.He later worked as a farmhand at Mayowood and as an attendant at the State Hospital Farm.The couple farmed near Eyota from 1942 until 1978 and moved from the farm in 2008.Elmer enjoyed driving tractor, car shopping, reading and traveling.He was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota.He was a loving and faithful servant to the Lord and his family. Survivors include six children, Robert (Gerri) Randall of Eyota, MN, Jon (Virginia) Randall of Eagan, MN, Susan (David) Broker of Lago Vista, TX, Dean (Karen) Randall of Columbia, MD, Julie (Sam) Ellis of Rochester, MN and Beth (Chris) Moran of Rochester, MN; 11 grandchildren, Daniel (Becca) Randall of McCall, ID, Stacy (Rob) Timlin of Denver, CO, Todd Randall of Eagan, MN,Scott Randall of Fort Worth, TX, Mark (Shannon) Broker of Neenah, WI, Rob (Tammy Vandermay) Broker of Oakdale, MN, Austin and Jordan Randall of Columbia, MD, Riley Ellis of Rochester, MN and Samantha and Turner Moran of Rochester, MN and three great grandchildren, Kaylee, Tyler and Elleanna Broker. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, 4 brothers and 1 sister. A special thank you to the staff at Sunrise Cottages for their tender loving care.
