Ellsworth Tucker

Ellsworth A. Tucker, 85, of Rochester, MN died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Rochester Health Services West. Ellsworth Arthur Tucker was born January 29, 1934 to Joel and Ruby (Jacobson) Tucker in Dodge County, MN. He graduated from Kasson High School in 1952. After graduation he worked for the Mayo Clinic before enlisting in the United States Army from 1957-1959. On June 25, 1960 he married Diane Lee at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Rock Dell and moved to Rochester in 1964. He again worked for the Mayo Clinic, retiring in 1996 after 40 years. He was a member and past President of the Rochester Eagle's Club and a faithful member of Bethel Lutheran Church since 1965. He enjoyed bowling, hobby farming, gardening, canning, playing cards and loved to listen to music. Ellsworth is survived by his wife, Diane of Rochester; two daughters, Debra (Chris) Bathke of Rochester and Sharon (Daryl Jans) Tucker of Columbus, OH; one son, Roland (Mary Kay Keller) Tucker of Rochester; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Tucker of Mantorville, MN and one sister, Karen Hagspiel of San Francisco, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Darrell and Larry. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m.at Bethel Lutheran Church (810 3rd Avenue SE Rochester, MN) on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes on Friday, April 26, 2019 and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery immediately following the service. A reception will also follow the service. Memorials are preferred to Bethel Lutheran Church.
