Elizabeth Louise Moore was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 16, 1948 to Lyle and Laura Gregg. She attended Magnificat High School and Mt St. Joseph's College in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing. Upon graduation, Beth entered the U.S. Army and began what would become a distinguished career in the service of our country as a psychiatric nurse at Walter Reed and St. Elizabeth's hospitals in Washington D.C. She retired from the Army in 1990 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Beth, husband Joe, and family moved to Rochester, Minn upon retirement from the military, where she went to work for the Mayo Clinic. She retired from Mayo in 2010. After retirement from the Clinic, Beth continued her service to others, volunteering in Home Care throughout Rochester. Beth's life was dedicated to others not only through nursing, but to family and friends whenever in need. Her door was always open, there was always a bed available, an ear to listen, and love to share. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Beth's family includes her husband, Joe (deceased), sons Joseph,Jr, Frederick, and Avery (Amanda), six grandchildren, Sheniqua, Arnella, Brooklyn, Coriana, Q.P., and Amor. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Coughlin, and brothers Larry (Maria) Gregg and Jim (Laurie) Gregg, and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother Dick Gregg. There will be a Celebration of Life at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday Sept 8,2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Chapel with visitation at 10: A.M.
