Elizabeth Coons

Elizabeth Marie (Brever) Coons, 87, of Rochester, MN passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at The Homestead surrounded by loved ones.

Betty was born on July 29, 1936 in Long Prairie Village, MN. She married the love of her life on the Fourth of July 1953, William Lee Coons. Bill and Betty spent more than 69 wonderful years together. Blessed with 7 children, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Thousands of memories, too many blessings to count.

Betty loved spending time with family and friends. She loved gardening, crafts, sewing, camping, traveling, and living life to the fullest. She loved being with her large family and especially enjoyed being a grandma and great-grandma. She always made time for each grandchild to make them feel special.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William and her two sons, Bruce Lee Coons and Brian Keith Coons.

She is survived by children Becky (Jeff) Brand, Brenda (Dan) Coons-Paddock, Barbara (Bruce) Phelps, Bradley (Brenda) Coons and Beth Coons; grandchildren, Briana, Jacob, Lea, Cody, Danielle, Jessica, Jennifer, Randi, Tyler, Justin, Micayla and Sophia.

A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home (5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901). There will be a reception immediately following the service at Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester, MN.
