Elfrieda Mary "Chris" Quick, 98, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Stewartville Care Center. She was born on December 28, 1919 to Charles Clark and Minnie Outcalt in St. Paul, MN. As a young child she was taken in and raised by her cousins, Anne and Arnold Davidson of Stewartville. She attended high school in Stewartville and then moved to St. Paul. On September 2, 1939 she married Edward Heroff in St. Paul. They were later divorced. On August 31, 1946 she married Arthur "Barry" Christenson of Chatfield. They made their home in rural Chatfield and in 1958 moved into Chatfield. Mr. Christenson died in 1969. In 1973, she married Paul Quick of Rochester. They made their home in Rochester. Mr. Quick passed away in 1991. Chris worked in several businesses in Rochester including Osco Drug, Snyder Drug, Waters Connelly, the State Hospital, and Farm and Home. For a time in Chatfield she provided in-home care to several elderly residents of the city. She was active in the Pink Ladies at Methodist Hospital, Rochester Senior Citizens, and in several ministries at her church, Calvary Baptist in Rochester. Chris enjoyed visiting with most anyone who would lend an ear. She also loved her Bible study group that she formed and attended for 25 plus years. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Cordy) Heroff of rural Stewartville, Samuel (Amy) Christenson of Blackduck, and two daughters, Ruth (Ron) Meyer of Mankato, and Tobi (Ron) Wilson of Pullman, Washington. She is also survived by a foster sister, Kay Thiede of Vancouver, Washington; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Heroff and Gregory Christenson, two husbands, Arthur Christenson and Paul Quick. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5905 Silas Dent Rd. NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev.
