ELEANOR (STARK) BOUGHTON -- ROCHESTER There will be a celebration of life for Eleanor Boughton, a wonderful lady, who has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after 93 years on earth.She was loved by all who knew her. Eleanor Cecilia Mattson was born January 16, 1922 in Isle, MN, the daughter of Ernest and Cecelia (Lind) Mattson.At the age of six, Eleanor became an orphan at the Owatonna State School until the age of eight.She was then taken to a family that needed help raising their children.At the age of sixteen, she was sent to Altura as a house-keeper for Paul and Bertha Stark.That is where she met her future husband, Chester Stark.They were married and lived in Altura where they had five children.She moved to Rochester 40 years ago after her children were grown.Eleanor passed away on June 13, 2015 at 4:30 pm in Rochester surrounded by her family. Eleanor is survived by her children, Dennis (Diane) Stark of Richmond, VA, Dianne (Dennis) Kimbrough of Santa Barbara, CA, Doug Stark of Plainview, Richard (Patty) Stark of Kellogg, Jim (Annette) Stark of Portland, OR as well as 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, her husband, Chester Stark, her daughter-in-law, Debbie Stark, two infant grandsons, David Stark and Darren Kimbrough and two adult granddaughters Darla (Kimbrough) Allen, and Dena Lynn Kimbrough. Eleanors family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Assisted Living at the Charter House for the wonderful care she received while living there.Also a special thank you to Dr. Vicki Hunt. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 4 7 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester and 1 hr prior to the service Thursday at the church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Our Saviors Moravian Church in Altura, MN.Interment will be in the Hebron Moravian Cemetery.A reception will follow at the church. Eleanor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.Our loss is Heavens gain.
