Eleanor "Patty" Midthun

Eleanor Patty Midthun Rochester, MN Eleanor Patricia Midthun, 74, passed away unexpectantly at her home on September 13, 2015.She was born on April 5, 1941 in Pilot Grove Township in Faribault County to Tollef and Eleanor (Hagedorn) Hovland. Patty graduated from rural High School and the New Ulm School of Practical Nursing. She worked as an R.N. for Rochester Methodist Hospital.She married James D. Midthun on April 14, 1962 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Frost, MN. Patti enjoyed reading and going for walks. Survivors include two sons, Brian (Sheila) Midthun of Brooklyn Center, MN and Jeff Midthun of Rochester, MN; two daughters, Jody Becker of Rochester, MN and Staci (Brian) Rau of Maplewood, MN; four grandchildren, Cody Midthun, Nick Baker, Tyler Becker and Courtney Midthun; and one sister, Joyce (Pete) Hille of Willmar, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, one brother and two sisters. The family will have memorial services at a later date. Memorials can be dircted to the American Cancer Society.
