Eleanor Eunice Fish, 94, of Rochester passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019. Eleanor was born on December 29, 1924 in Winona, Minnesota to Arnold and Edna (Buchholtz) Dorn. Eleanor attended Winona High School where she graduated and went on to work for Winona County. Eleanor married William Fish on January 13, 1945. He passed away on September 6, 1999. The couple moved to Minneapolis where they owned and operated Sweetheart Bakery. They later moved to Rochester in 1951 and started The Home Bakery, which was later known as the Gingerbread House Bakery. Eleanor provided a loving home for her family with many holiday celebrations. She enjoyed an active life including golf, interior decorating, entertaining, spending winters in Texas and Arizona, and achieved Life Master Bridge Player. Eleanor was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Eleanor is survived by her children: Sandy (Dean) Williams of Eau Claire, WI; Bill (Rebecca) Fish of Spring Park, MN; John (Sandy) Fish of Rochester; Colleen Fitzgerald of Rochester; and Brad (Vicki) Fish of Rochester; brother, Jim (Nancy) Dorn of Eugene, OR; 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by William; daughter, Mary Duncan; sister, Virginia Follmann; and son-in-law, Tom Fitzgerald. A memorial service for Eleanor will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the church.
