ROCHESTER, MN:Elaine A. Mulholland, 90, died at home October 30, 2013.Elaine was born August 5, 1923, in Ionia, Iowa to the late Arthur and Lesta Crooks.She graduated from Nashua High School in 1942, completed her teaching certificate and taught school for several years.In the late 1940s she relocated to NYC, completed medical missionary training at National Bible Institute where she met and married Dennis W. Mulholland.In the early 1950s they relocated to Rochester and began the Christian Book & Gift Shop in 1957. In everything Elaine did, she worked tirelessly, with excellence and passion whether providing quality literature and services to the community; raising a family; or being a caregiver to her mother and mother-in-law.There was nothing she enjoyed more than family gatherings.She had a deep faith and lived that out in her commitment to God, her career, family and community. Elaine is survived by five children, Marilyn (Tom) Middleton of Tampa, FL; Karen (Kent) McKenzie of Zumbro Falls; Kelvin (Judy) Mulholland of Millville; Kevin (Laura) Mulholland of Rochester and Merlyn (Janet) Mulholland of Rochester; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Arlene (Don) Gillquist of Minneapolis, MN; and many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews.A very special thank you to all of her loving caregivers. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a son (age 4) and her husband. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Chapel.A visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
