E. L. Chuck Forbrook, at age 85, died comfortably Monday morning, March 30, 2015 at his home from cancer. Chuck was born June 10, 1929 to Louis and Ida (Beilke) Forbrook in Morgan, Minnesota. He was baptized on June 30, 1929 and confirmed on May 24, 1942, both at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, also in Morgan Minnesota. He proudly served his country in the United State Air Force from November 18, 1950 until his honorable discharge on November 17, 1954. He then went to Mankato Business School to pursue a degree in accounting. In Mankato he met and married Darlene Jane Gosen on September 16, 1957 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in North Mankato. They then moved to Rochester where he began his career working for Johnson, Drake and Piper. From there his vision of what became Country Club Manor over the next fifty years became a reality. He was a member of Rochester Area Builders for over 46 years. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of 57 years, his daughter, Jean (Ken) Keefe, his son, Gerald Jerry (Maureen) and his daughter, Joann (Dave) Olean. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, and his brother, Louis (Brenda) Forbrook of Sleepy Eye. He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing up north, pheasant hunting and gardening with his International Farmall H tractor. He was also an avid sports fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. He and Darlene were members of Redeemer Lutheran Church for twenty five years and are currently members of Trinity Lutheran Church. His strong faith in his Lord and Savior sustained him throughout his lifetime. Two of his favorite mottos were one day at a time and we owe it to ourselves. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM and his funeral will be at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 6th Ave. SW., Rochester, MN.
