Edward C. Brackenbury

Edward Charles Brackenbury, 98 of Rochester, MNpassed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 in Golden Living East Healthcare Center. Born December 20, 1917 in Chengwatana / Pine City township in MN, the son of Clarence and Clara Brackenbury. The family moved to Rochester when Edward was a young boy.From March 23, 1942 to November 18, 1945 he served in the Marines, 320th Platoon U.S.M.CHe then was owner of Eddie's Towing until retirement.On June 23, 1948 he married his beloved Donna J Fenske. who predeceased in death 2012.He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Grace Lutheran Church. He is survived by his son Joel C ( Cynde) Brackenbury of Boca Raton, Two granddaughters, Channa Fisher and Mychelle Brackenbury, one great granddaughter, Caileigh Fisher. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 18, 2016 at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes with Rev.Greg Heidorn officiating.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.A time for fellowship will follow the service and then burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to the American Legion, Grace Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
