ROCHESTER - Eddie M. Langhus, 92, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Oak Valley Home in Rochester. Eddie was born in Shelly, MN on November 9, 1918 to Ludvig and Annie (Grosfjeld) Langhus. He married Inez Johnson on June 30, 1946 in Menter, MN. Eddie was a teacher in Buffalo Center, Iowa. He also performed scientific research at the Mayo Clinic Neurology Department. In his later years, Eddie was a counselor for Minnesota State Services for the Blind. Eddie was a longtime member in the Zumbro Lutheran Church Choir. He also loved acrylic painting, woodworking, building, and genealogy. Eddie is survived by his wife of 64 years, Inez; four children, David Langhus, of Bethlehem, PA, James (Linette) Langhus, of Monona, IA, Barbara (Christopher) Tashjian, of River Falls, WI, and Karen (Bernard) Soules, of Parker, CO; eight grandchildren, Grant Langhus, of Tampa, FL, Lucas Langhus, of Monona, IA, Raffi Tashjian, of River Falls, WI, Edward Tashjian, of River Falls, WI, Nara Tashjian, of River Falls, WI, Rose Tashjian, of River Falls, WI, Kirsten Soules, of Parker, CO, and Benjamin Soules, of Parker, CO. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Zumbro Lutheran Church, 624 3rd Ave. SW with Rev. Vern Christopherson officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Oakwood East Cemetery.
