Earl F. Senst

Earl F. Senst of Rochester, MN passed away at the age of 92 years on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at his home. Earl was born in Bremen, MN September 23, 1924 to Alfred and Laura (Redding) Senst. He attended country school, later moving to the fam near Plainview, MN. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School. April 1946, he enlisted in the Army and served as an Infantryman in Fort Bliss, TX. After his discharge, he went to Michigan Tech School of Electricity and got his apprentice license. October 6, 1946, he married Mary Jensen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. he was an active member in the Mens Club. He worked for Toms Electric and Podeins Freightways driving truck. In 1951, he started S S moving and Storage Company. In 1961, he became an agent for North American Van Lines. He received many awards and trips based on quality of service. In 1994, he was awarded for driving two and half million miles without an accident or citation. He drove for over forty years, retiring at the age of 83 he continued to be active in the business until was sold in 2012. He liked golfing, hunting and mostly fishing. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 70 years of Rochester, children, Bonnie (David) Sandell of Edina, MN, Tom (Jane) Senst of Fort Meyers, FL, David (Sandy) Senst of Rochester; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence (Dolores) Senst of St. Charles, MN and Laverne (Martha) Senst of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger; two brothers; and one sister. He was cremated and interment will be later at Grandview Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church (222 6th Avenue SW) with Pastor Nathaniel Schwartz and Pastor Robert Lentz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior of the service at the church. Lunch following service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.
