E. Pervin Floen, 82, of Rochester, MN passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Saint Marys Hospital. Elnor Pervin Floen was born March 27, 1934 to Herman and Rose (Nord) Floen in Zumbrota, MN. Pervin graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1952. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Korea and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Pervin married Carol Buck on October 26, 1957 in Rochester. He worked at IBM for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Pervin also drove bus for the Rochester Public Schools for 15 years. Pervin had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, playing cards. Pervin enjoyed watching all sports, but most of all enjoyed watching his grandchildrens sporting events. Pervin is survived by his wife, Carol of Rochester; five children, Keith (Holly) Floen of Cumming, GA, Brian (Charity) Floen of Rochester, Sue (Rick) Rathbun of Rochester, Patti (Reid Meyer) Miller-Meyer of Rochester and Craig (Carrie) Floen of Stillwater; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church (2124 Viola Road NE). Visitation will take place from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Military Honors will be at the church provided by the Rochester American Legion Post #92. Memorials are suggested to the Mayo Clinic for Cancer Research.
