Dwayne Waldo Swanton

ROCHESTER - Dwayne W. Swanton, 82, died on 08/02/12 at Samaritan Bethany Care Center Dwayne was born in Flint, MI on October 31, 1929 to Waldo and Lenora (Olson) Swanton. Dwayne was a 1947 graduate of Fergus Falls High School, served in the Air Force Reserve in Biloxi. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting fishing and traveling. He enjoyed collecting cars and small engine repair. Dwayne is survived by two children, Gregory Swanton, of San Francisco, CA, and Glen (Claudia) Swanton, of Rochester; three grandchildren, Dylan Swanton, Alexis (Andrew) Scott, and Gabriel Swanton; and a sister, Jeanine Lehman, of Mankato, MN. Dwayne is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gary. A private family service will take place at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
