Douglas J. Ocheltree

A memorial service for Douglas J. Ocheltree will be held on Friday, April 8, at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation begins at 1:00 with the service starting at 2:00. Doug, 67, of Rochester, passed away on Feb. 2, 2011, at St. Marys Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on Dec. 9, 1943, in Richfield, Minn., to Loren and Hedvig (Svitak) Ocheltree. Doug graduated from Richfield High School and the University of Minnesota. He moved to Rochester and taught English and speech at Mayo High School. For the last 20 years, he worked at Andy's Liquor Store where he could share his love and appreciation of wine with others. Doug and Susan Nemoede were married on July 12, 1968, in Rochester.Survivors include his wife; his mother-in-law, Edna Nemoede of Rochester; his sisters-in-law, Ann (Tom) Schwalen of Rochester and Bonnie Denzer of Utica, Minn.; and nephews and nieces - Edward (Susan) Denzer, Theona Denzer, Hans Hull, and Miriam Hull. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sharon (Ocheltree) Hull, and his brother, David.Memorials can be directed to the family.
