Dorothy M. Miller, age 90, of the Kasson - Mantorville area, died on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Marys Campus in Rochester. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.The visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in Farmhill Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the family. Dorothy Mae Snively was born on March 23, 1926, in Bismark, ND. She attended country school in North Dakota. Dorothy was a caregiver for a few years until she moved to Rochester. In 1947, she married Allen Miller. Dorothy was a homemaker, worked at the Salvation Army where she taught Sunday School. She owned a night club in Mazeppa and worked at the Ponderosa Supper Club. She later moved to Kasson - Mantorville. Dorothy worked atthe Historical Mansion and was also a caregiver. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards especially bingo, going to casinos and spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy was known as the cookie and rosette lady. Dorothy was a member of First Congregational Church in Mantorville and the Salvation Army Church. Dorothy is survived by her children, Gerald Jerry(Dianne) Miller of Mantorville and Lisa Zeppa Miller of Spring Valley; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Miller; niece, Deloris Reige and several other nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Miller who died on December 9, 1967; daughter, Judy (Ira) Newell; son, Bruce Miller.
