Dorothy Anna Fahrman

ROCHESTER:Funeral services for Dorothy A. Fahrman, 95 of Rochester, MN will be at 11:00am on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Anjanette Bandel officiating.Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Dorothy Anna Everts was born on April 9, 1918 in rural Mower County, MN to Henry and Anna (Geerdes) Everts.She died on July 31, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. Dorothy graduated from Stewartville High School.She married Harold M. Fahrman on July 20, 1936 in New Hampton, IA.Dorothy worked for the Kahler Hotel and retired from the Accounting Department at Mayo Clinic in 1983.She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and helped organize the Community Food Response.She also organized the Meals on Wheels at the church.Dorothy enjoyed baking, fishing, playing cards, traveling and was a huge Minnesota Twins fan. Survivors include 3 daughters, Nancy Neubauer of Rochester, MN, Judy Dorst of Seattle, WA and Carol (Curtis) Hovland of Marysville, WA; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and 1 sister.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson.
