Doris Lybeck

Doris May Lybeck, 83, of Rochester died on December 1, 2018 at the Homestead Rehabilitation Center in Rochester. She was born on January 12, 1935 in Kasson to Hans and Lucille (Fiegel) Fjerstad. She was later adopted by Freda and Burnie Hanson. Doris graduated in 1952 from Rochester Central High School. She married Douglas S. Lybeck on April 17, 1955 at the former Bethel English Lutheran Church in Rochester. She worked at Mayo Clinic for a few years and later worked for the Rochester Public School in Food Service for 27 ½ years. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and enjoyed going to casinos, camping, crafts and bowling. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy (Steve) Hyke of Rochester and Cindy (Keith) McEachern of Rochester; three grandchildren, Christy and Cari Hyke and Cody Haakenson; and three great grancchildren. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Pam, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Bethel Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
