Doris I. Reuter

Doris I. Reuter, age 93, of Rochester, died on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Samaritan Bethany on 8th. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Peace United Church of Christ with Reverend Paul Bauch officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville. Doris Irene Derby was born on June 29, 1926, on a farm near Pine Island to Ralph and Ruth Derby. The family moved to Mantorville where she attended school and graduated in 1944. After graduation, the family moved to Rochester. On February 24, 1948, she married D. Dean Reuter. They were members of Peace United Church of Christ. Doris worked as a receptionist at the Kahler beauty shop for five years before joining the Mayo Clinic. She worked as a desk attendant and supervised in the orthopedic department for 33 years. Doris is survived by her cousins, nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Dale Derby; and longtime friend of the family, Michael Mitchell.
