Doris Flicker

Doris Anne Flicker, age 64, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2016 at Saint Isidore Health Center in Plainview, MN. Doris was born on September 25, 1951 to John and Ethel Bissen.She graduated from Stewartville High School in 1969.Doris married Tom Parker in 1971 and they had three children.Doris and Tom later divorced after 19 years of marriage.Doris married Joel Flicker in 1991, they were married 16 years.Doris worked at Empower CTC for eight years.Doris enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, reading, crocheting, walking outdoors and drawing. Doris is survived by her mother, Ethel Bissen; one brother, Mike (Laurie) Bissen; four sisters, Donna Bamlet, Ellen (Lou) Kanavati, Janet (Charlie) Taylor and Jeannie (Paul) Hackenmiller; three children, Jonathan (Lijia) Parker, Adam (Karri) Parker and Erin Parker; two grandchildren, Taylor and Caleb Parker; countless other family members and friends.She was preceded in death by her father, John Bissen and brother in-law, Rick Bamlet. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes at 10:00 a.m.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Burial will take place at Saint Bernards Catholic Cemetery in Stewartville, MN.
