Doris Christine Hieb

Rochester- Doris Christine Radke Hieb, 89, of Rochester, MN passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born January 28, 1922 in Rochester to Roy and Christine (Murphy) Wells. Doris worked for many years at Dison's. She loved the Minnesota Twins, baking, canning and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Doris also enjoyed watching old movies and spending her time with her children and grandchildren. Doris was a kind-hearted woman that lived life to its fullest. She is survived by her children, LaVerne (Janette Kautz) Radke of Hammond, MN, Robert (JoAnn) Radke of Pine Island, MN, Donald Radke of Rochester, MN, Judith (Darrell) Franks of Brainard, MN, Dale (Penny) Radke of Monticello, MN, Harold (Rita) Radke of Dodge Center, MN, Roy (Helen) Radke of Rochester, MN, John (Sue) Radke of Florida, Amy (David) Smith of Rochester, MN; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great, great-grandchildren; sister, LaVaun (Jerry) Postier; son-in-law, Terry Witter; half sisters, Marion (Duane) Riley, Ruth Ann (Leroy) Parris, Sheila Burgland all of Washington; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Harold Radke; second husband, Al Hieb; daughter, Dawn Witter; sister, Inez and 2 grandchildren, James and Nicholas. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine and 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
