Doris Carroll Mcalister

Doris Carroll McAlister, 83, of Rochester, formally of Pine Island, MN, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Seasons Hospice. Doris Carroll was born December 17, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to John H. and Margaret A. (Babler) Carroll. She graduated from Lourdes High School in 1947.She married Lester McAlister on June 2, 1951 in White Bear Lake, MN.They were married for 57 years. Doris worked at Northwest Bell for 20 years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.She enjoyed the outdoors and nature. Doris is survived by her children, Mark (Jackye) McAlister of Plymouth, MN, Steven McAlister, Christine McAlister and Mary McAlister, all of Rochester; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester on Sept. 1, 2008; 3 brothers; and one sister. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Chapel with Father Paul Nelson officiating.A private family burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
