Donna Wussow

Donna LaJean Wussow Donna Wussow, age 90, joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, Verne, on February 28th from the comfort of Seasons Hospice. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ella and Emmett Meyer and sister, Virginia Twite. Donna was a devoted mother, involved grandmother and doting great grandmother, and a lifelong friend to many of all ages. She was a proud Kahler U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps RN and retired from Rochester Methodist Hospital August of 1986. Donna loved to laugh, GO any time and everywhere, and sports (especially hockey and baseball). She also delighted in travel, especially Lake Placids 1980 Winter Olympics, Alaska in 1986 and many other great places. Donna was a seamstress extraordinaire, award winning pool shark, generous volunteer and a believer. She lead by example, demonstrating the values of enthusiasm, curiosity, generosity, selflessness, hard work, unconditional and unwavering love for her family. She is survived by sons Alan (Luanne) of Rochester and Ronald of Sun Prairie, WI; daughters Sharon Terrell of Rochester, Laurie Kreter of Eyota, and Diane Wussow of Minneapolis; grandchildren Jade (Nicole) of Cave Creek, AZ; Drew of Rochester, Tamra of Matthews, NC, Matthew of Madison, WI, Elizabeth of Matthews, NC; Zachary of Mankato, MN; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Marlene Lake of LaCrosse, WI and Arlette Lee Eckman of Inver Grove Heights, MN; as well as many well-loved nieces and nephews. She was truly the best mom in the world and will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Donnas life will be celebrated at a visitation on Friday, March 10th from 5-7pm at Ranfranz Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, and at an 11am funeral service (visitation @ 10) and reception on Saturday, March 11th at Zumbro Lutheran Church, 624 Third Ave. SW, Rochester.
