Donald Glascock

February 21, 1963 — December 1, 2019

After 56 years of living life to the fullest, 25 years of devoted marriage, 20 years of joyful fatherhood, 29 years of sharing his passion in computers with the Mayo Clinic Health Care System, Donald Stewart Glascock leaves this earth to be with God. Donald was born on February 21, 1963 to Robert and Theresa (Starkey) Glascock in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He graduated from high school in Los Alamos in 1981 and then he entered the Computer Science program at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. In 1990 he started working at the Mayo Clinic in the Research Computing Facility. He married Stephanie Wagner on May 28, 1994 in Rochester. He continued his degree and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 2006. Donald enjoyed and excelled at all things technical. He was known as a brilliant and humble man and never held it over the rest of us. Understanding his role as a mentor and leader in the hemophilia community, Donald was active and respected in the Hemophilia Foundation of the Minnesota and Dakotas (HFMD). Donald enjoyed wood working, country western dancing, camping, astronomy and perfecting his favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Donald is survived by his wife Stephanie, and two sons Ryan and Joel all of Rochester. His mother Theresa Glascock of Los Alamos, NM; and siblings, Joli (Gary) Garcia and their daughter Reese of Elizabeth, CO; Chris Glascock of Erie, CO, Laurie Glascock of Los Alamos, NM. His family also includes father and mother-in-law Laurence and Judith Wagner, Rochester, MN and his sister-in-law, Dr. Wendeline Wagner (Sam Clatterbuck) of Middletown, MD and many other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert "Breck" Glascock. He will be missed terribly, and we look forward to seeing him as one of the bright stars in the sky. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6th, 2019 at Pax Christi Catholic Church (4135 18th Avenue NW Rochester, MN).
