Dolores Cecelia Eyrich

ROCHESTER - Dolores "Dee" "Punky" C. Eyrich, 78, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Dee was born in Red Wing, MN on May 12, 1932 to Hiram and Dolores Fleming. She acquired her lifelong nickname "Punky" during her high school years at Red Wing-a winning combination of pep and spunk that remained with her until the end. Dee was married to Henry Eyrich in April 1956 and they had four children together. They later divorced. While maintaining a household and raising her children, Dee spent time as a realtor in Rochester and lovingly worked at Arbor Terrace recently retiring from there after 30 years of service. Dee is survived by her children, Thomas Eyrich, of Indiana, Elizabeth Eyrich, Julie Eyrich, and Barbra (Jerry) Rutgers, all of Rochester; seven grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Eyrich, and Brianna, Noah, Josiah, Asher, and Micah Rutgers; a step-grandchild, Peter Rutgers; and a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Peterka, of Indiana.Dee is preceded in death by her parents. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Red Wing.Memorials can be directed to the family, if desired.
