Dolly-Ann Grocki, 71, of St. Charles, formerly of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles. Dolly-Ann was born January 21, 1948 in Jersey City, NJ to Martin and Anna (Young) Grocki. She was a 1965 graduate of Cliffside Park High School in New Jersey and went on to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Sociology from Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa in 1969. Dolly-Ann moved to Rochester in 1974 and began working at the Children's Home Society Daycare and then went to work for almost 20 years at Olmsted County Social Services. Dolly-Ann loved collecting different things but her favorite was her collection of dolls, miniature dollhouses and lighthouses. She belonged to the Rochester Miniature Club. Dolly-Ann also enjoyed photography and traveling and some of her favorite places were Hawaii and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was loving and caring to all she knew: family, friends, clients and co-workers. Her niece and nephew, Miranda and Daniel, were a great joy in her life and Aunt Dolly always made sure they felt remembered and loved. Dolly-Ann is survived by her brother, Peter (Cindy) Grocki of Oregon City, OR; sister, Ruth Grocki of Rochester; niece, Miranda Grocki; nephew, Daniel Grocki and a host of other family and friends. Dolly Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Anna. The family wishes to thank Dr. Hankel and the staff at Whitewater, along with Seasons Hospice for all their compassion and support. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice. A time to celebrate Dolly-Ann's life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Remembrance and Reception Centre, 5482 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
