Dianne Dewitz

Dianne P. DeWitz, 80, of Rochester, MN died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Saint Marys Hospital. Dianne Pauline Gappa was born July 7, 1937 to Clarence and Leone (Thrune) Gappa in Winona, MN. Dianne attended Cotter High School in Winona. After graduation, she went to Saint Marys Nursing School in Rochester. On February 15, 1958, she married Arthur DeWitz in Winona. The couple raised their family in Rochester as she worked briefly at Mayo Clinic and for the majority of her life she was a homemaker and care giver to her grandchildren. Dianne was an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, traveling, preparing her family their favorite recipes, spending time with her grandchildren, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and bird watching. Dianne is survived by her husband, Arthur of Rochester, MN; five children, Scott (Lynn) DeWitz of Oronoco, MN, Tami (Jeff) Banick of Pine Island, MN, Shelli (Don) Tradup of Elgin, MN, Jon (Tami) DeWitz of Zumbro Falls, MN and Drew (Dana) DeWitz of Rochester, MN; twelve grandchildren, Jacob (Ashley) Utley, Bo (Amy) DeWitz, Kaitlyn (Brandon) Monson, Chaz DeWitz, Tyler Banick, Alex DeWitz, Quinn Tradup, Emi Banick, Justin DeWitz, Dylan Tradup, Lake DeWitz and Ty DeWitz; seven great grandchildren, Grace, Bella, Olivia, Luke, Riely, Lilly and Piper; and two sisters, Barbara (Robert) Wieczorek and Marie (Edward) Feltz. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Glenn and Allen. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. A Memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Pax Christi Catholic Church.
